The Declaration of Independence frees the United States on this episode of This Day In History!
On this episode of This Day In History, Tony and Armand tell us about the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.
In 1776, the Declaration of Independence is signed by all parties concerned, justifying the independence of the United States by listing colonial grievances against King George III. Although Independence Day is celebrated on July 4, that was the day the Declaration was approved, not signed.
Plus, the Marihuana Tax Act is passed in 1937, the Motor Torpedo Boat PT-109 is sunk by the Amagiri in 1943, and Iraq invades Kuwait in 1990.
