In 1957, Hardy passed away at the age of 65 due to complications from cerebral thrombosis. Hardy was a member of the legendary comedy team, Laurel and Hardy, appearing in 107 short films, feature films, and cameo roles.
Plus, the Battle of Guadalcanal begins in 1942, the first American soldiers arrive in Saudi Arabia for the Gulf War in 1990, and Charlize Theron is welcomed into the world in 1975.
