The widow of Louis XVI sees her last day on this episode of This Day In History!
On this episode of This Day In History, Tony and Armand are back to tell us about the death of the widow of King Louis XVI, Queen Marie Antoinette of France. Tried by the Revolutionary Tribunal on 14 October 1793, Marie Antoinette was found guilty of three main charges, one of which being high treason. On this day in 1793 at 12:15 p.m, she was guillotined and her body was then thrown into an unmarked grave in the Madeline cemetery.
Also on this day, The Walt Disney Company is founded in 1923 and we wish Bob Weir a happy 70th birthday!
