Charlie Brown makes his debut with Peanuts in 9 newspapers on this episode of This Day In History!
On this episode of This Day In History, Tony and Armand tell us how the famous daily strip turned TV show, Peanuts, is published for the first time in this day in 1950 by Charles M. Schulz. The Peanuts gang was born from Schulz’s original comic strip, Li’l Folks, which first appeared in his hometown paper was picked up by United Feature Syndicate and changed to “Peanuts” to avoid confusion with other comic strips.
Also on this day in 1835, the Texas Revolution begins, in 1959 The Twilight Zone premieres on CBS, and on this day in 2002 the Beltway sniper attacks begin.
